Stages at a glance

Distances and climbing are Gronze's, converted to miles and feet; places to stay are as listed on Gronze. Difficulty is rated from distance and climbing alone until the stages are researched in detail. Select a stage to see it on the map with a short summary. Details opens its page, with a map of the day, the places to stay and where to break a long day. The first stage's page, Before you set off, has booking, prices and sending your bag ahead. Everything on this trail confirmed since October 2026.

Before you set off

Sleep here the night before you set off. The pilgrims' Mass and blessing is in the cathedral at 7:00 every morning from April to October, and at 7:30 on weekdays the rest of the year. Get your credential the day before at the cathedral sacristy, Espace Europa Compostela (23 rue des Tables) or Le Camino (2 rue de la Manécanterie).
