Camino del Norte · Stage 34 of 36
An easy day to the Camino Francés, where the crowds begin; as Gronze puts it, you lose intimacy and gain company. From here the public albergues fill early, so in summer think about booking private beds. A signed shortcut from Boimorto through Orxal goes straight to Lavacolla, skipping Arzúa and saving 5 miles. Arzúa is known for its cheese.
Basic details only. The Camino del Norte’s stages haven’t been researched in detail yet, so this page has what the trail page held: the places to stay, the day’s distance and climbing, and the planning notes.
Also, not on the map: A Casa do Lajueiro
The line is the waymarked route as OpenStreetMap has it. Places to stay are where OpenStreetMap has them, matched by name; the ones it doesn't have are listed beside the map, without a marker. Tap a marker for details; the numbers match the cards below.
The 56-bed Xunta albergue, seventeen private albergues and hostels, eleven pensiones and guesthouses and three hotels. From here you share every bed with the Camino Francés.
