Four hotels in the port itself, from the 17-room Hostal Catalina Vera to two large resort hotels. Andratx town, about 4.5 km inland, has two more.

Hostal Catalina Vera, Hotel Brismar, Mon Port and La Pérgola. Many walkers skip the first short stage and take the bus straight to Sant Elm.

Before you set off

Booking the Consell refuges

Can Boi, Muleta, Tossals Verds, Son Amer, Pont Romà and Galatzó are run by the Consell de Mallorca and share one booking system and one price list. Everything else on the GR221 is booked directly with the owner.

  • Book online through the Consell de Mallorca refuge booking page, or by phone on +34 971 173 700.
  • Private two-bed rooms, where a refuge has one, are booked only by email: [email protected]
  • Doors close at 10pm from November to March and at 11pm from April to October. Dorms must be cleared by 10am.
  • Bed linen and towels are extra but available, so there's no need to carry a sleeping bag. Coma d'en Vidal is the exception.
  • Weekends and Spanish holidays fill first. All seven refuges were full over the December 2025 holiday weekend.

Refuge coordinates come from refuges.info, cross-checked against mallorca.com and Komoot. Town coordinates come from OpenStreetMap and Wikipedia. Prices follow the Consell's published price ordinance and may change. Places-to-stay counts come from the Consell de Mallorca's register of licensed tourist accommodation (updated September 2026), plus the refuges and one backpacker hostel that aren't in it.

Confirmed October 2026. Each place to stay shows when its own details were confirmed. Phone numbers, prices and opening seasons change from year to year, so confirm them before you rely on them.
