GR221/Stage 2 of 10

GR221 · Stage 2 of 10

Sant Elm to Ses Fontanelles

This is the gap in the public refuge network. The nearby Coma d'en Vidal refuge only rents out the whole building to groups. If Ses Fontanelles is full, the alternative is one long day from Sant Elm to Estellencs: 24.7 km with about 1,010 m of climbing.

Basic details only. The GR221’s stages haven’t been researched in detail yet, so this page has what the trail page held: the places to stay, the day’s distance and climbing, and the planning notes.

The line is the waymarked route as OpenStreetMap has it, except from Sant Elm to La Trapa, where OpenStreetMap doesn't have the route: there the line is the shortest footpath, which may not follow the waymarks. Places to stay are where the trail page or OpenStreetMap put them; the ones without a known position are listed beside the map, without a marker.
