Walk 2.5 miles along Laredo's beach to El Puntal for the boat to Santoña: €2.50, every 10 to 15 minutes from 9:00, from mid-March into the autumn. It doesn't run at dawn or in winter; then the signed inland route via Colindres and Gama is 2.5 miles longer, with cheap albergues at both. Güemes village and its two restaurants are 0.9 miles from the albergue.
